The founding and chief conductor of Orchestra 143 is David Angell. As well as Orchestra 143, David conducts the Bourbaki Ensemble. By Margaret Sutherland, has contributed translations of Russian and Italian poetry to the Lied and Art Song Texts. O143 in Robertson, 2012.

The Angel Orchestra is a London amateur orchestra led by a professional leader and principal cellist who meet once a week to rehearse together at St Silas Church, Risinghill Street in Angel, Islington. Our repertoire includes a broad range of classical works from Bach and Beethoven, later Romantic and more modern pieces - sometimes written or arranged for us by our own conductor and players. We are always on the lookout for new players that would like to join, in particular brass and string players! .

At the Pompidou Center the other day because I heard Koudelka used a Leica. I went because it was free and the internet has conditioned me to not pay for things. I went because Koudelka is, if not a god, a kind of John the Baptist of photography, or at least a Caine of Kung-Fu of photography. And like I said, it was free.
